Want New Series, On the life struggle of Ben Davis (Tom Pelphrey) Ozark?
The life of Ben Davis had been full of struggles and challenges, which he apparently could not cope with, and that caused his mental condition. Tom Pelphrey acted amazingly in Ozark as the character.
Viewers got emotionally attached to him and could not accept his unfortunate fate. It made them disheartened and furious. Ben has a cult following for himself.
I had briefly mentioned in my previous blog that his brilliant performance created a possibility of a spin-off. This spin-off can either be a series or a movie. However, a web series would be the better choice, as it could focus on the details which otherwise may not be possible.
The spin-off must focus on his childhood, adolescence, and middle-age phases of life and the event that caused him bipolar disorder.
The Cause and The Story
Although the exact cause of the disorder is unknown, it usually occurs in those, with a first-degree relative, with the condition. This condition makes physical changes in the brain. The significance of the change is unknown but helps narrow down the cause. Even alcohol or drug abuse, or some other traumatic event such as the death of someone close, can cause this disorder.
The story could show the cause to be his abusive parents, the guilt of the death of a known because of him, or simply because he got involved in drugs. Whatsoever the reason may be, it should have a social message. However, not at the cost of a good story.
I hope that the makers read this blog and come up with a story. Fans are eagerly waiting for some news!
