Mary Elizabeth Winstead in and as Kate 2021 – Review
Kate is a story about an orphan girl who ended up being an assassin. Though the action thriller doesn’t have good ratings on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes as of now, it might end up being a cult classic. Mary Elizabeth Winstead has performed well in the movie.
The movie premiered on 10th September 2021 on Netflix. Though, the overall rating on IMDb is 6.4 / 10 it mainly got mixed reviews.
As of now, 29.5% of 11,656 total voters voted 7 / 10. It is the highest rating among all the voters. We give the movie a rating of 7 / 10.
The performance of Mary Elizabeth Winstead reminds us of Uma Thurman as the Bride (Black Mamba) in Kill Bill. Moreover, the overall movie has a similar tone and feel. Most of the story with twists and turns is predictable but is still watchable and enjoyable.

Kate is an acute radiation poisoned hardcore badass who refuses to die. She has nothing to lose other than the 24 hours left of her life and thus is on a revenge rampage. No mafia or clan can stand up to her. Her only objective is to get to the man who ordered and did this to her.
Miku Martineau as Ani is a niece of the Kijima, the boss of the crime family. She later becomes her ally and helps her bring down the man responsible for Kate’s condition.
The events in the movie take place in Japan. Its shooting took place in California, Japan, Tokyo, Thailand, and Los Angeles. The film is mainly in the English language, but parts of the movie have Japanese as well.
So if you haven’t seen the film yet, watch the trailer and then enjoy it.
