Matrix 4: The Matrix Resurrections First Trailer is out

Excitement is running high, as Warner Bros. Pictures has launched the first official trailer of Matrix 4: The Matrix Resurrections on its YouTube channel. It is the fourth installment of The Maxtrix franchise.

Is that Morpheus in the trailer of The Matrix Resurrections?

Yes, that is Morpheus. In the first three installments, Laurence Fishburne played the character. In the fourth film, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays the character.

Is The Matrix Resurrections a remake?

We made observations in the trailer that made us believe that it’s a continuation of the previous story and is not a remake.

Neo and Trinity, who died in the third part, are back from the dead. It seems that the machines brought them back to life. By the end of the trilogy, both humans and machines made peace with each other.

Neither of them has any memory of the past, but Neo has some flashbacks that make him believe he is crazy.

They both seem to have the skills they had earlier. Neo has psychic powers, apart from the super fighting skills.

The best part of the trailer is the song that plays along. Every word of the lyrics rhymes perfectly with the video and the character at that moment.

Some of the scenes

When the singer refers to the pills “that mother gives you” in the scene, Neo seems confused, looking at people glued to mobile phones and tabs. The scene shows his disconnection from the world. The word mother here appears to be a reference to the Matrix.

When she sings “don’t do anything at all.”, a pile of blue pills falls from his hands. A single blue pill is sufficient to keep one in the Matrix forever. A pile of blue pills, which other than keeping him in the Matrix, does nothing and keeps him ignorant about the world around him.

“Go ask Alice. When she is ten feet tall!” scene shows Priyanka Chopra, which means that she is playing the role of the oracle. Also, the lyrics seem to be a kind of riddle. In the previous trilogy, a girl named Sati, who was a software, made the Matrix. Either Priyanka is playing her role as an older version of Sati, or she is the new oracle of this new Matrix.
