SS(NT)-9 & SS(Tech)-1 celebrate Golden Jubilee of Commissioning Day

Yesterday on 06 September 2020, SS(NT)-9 and SS(TECH)-1 courses which passed out 50 years ago from Officers Training Academy, Chennai (earlier known as OTS, Madras) celebrated Golden Jubilee of their commissioning in the Indian Army on 06 September 1970.

These courses together had the distinction of being the largest course which passed our from OTA.

The Officers from these courses were battle tested within one year of their passing out during Indo-Pak war of 1971 and proved their mettle. Many of them laid their lives in the line of duty during the war.The course also paid tributes to their fallen brave hearts during get-together organised through net meeting on zoom due to the restrictions enforced by the COVID 19 situation.

On this occasion, Officiating Commandant OTA Chennai released a message facilitating the courses on their Golden Jubilee.
