Netflix Bodyguard is a must-watch thriller show that has an IMDb rating of 8.1/10 and 93% Rotten Tomatoes.

The story revolves around a former British Army war veteran David Budd (Richard Madden). He is currently working in the Royalty and Specialist Protection Branch of London’s Metropolitan Police Service as a Police Sargent. His assignment is to protect the Home Secretary Julia Montague MP and is her Personal Protection Officer.

The show currently has only one season containing six episodes. There are talks about season two over the internet, but the dates are yet to be confirmed.

PS Budd while on-duty

PS Budd happens to be a determined and focused officer. At work, he could sense subtle situations that could jeopardize Julia and avert it. The first episode, for instance, demonstrates the level of expertise the officer has in tackling an adverse and critical situation, where a couple of bombers took the whole train hostage.

Stern looks, alert mind, swiftness, highly trained combatant are just a few of his qualities as a PPO. His ability to tackle such extreme situations is due to his military and police training.

PS Budd while off-duty

His persona changes drastically during his off-duty hours, and he struggles through severe psychological issues caused due to PTSD.

On many occasions, many people around him try to convince him to get counseling, which he always refuses. In one of the episodes, during midnight, he gets drunk and calls his wife, Vicky. He keeps asking her to chat with him, but she refuses and asks him to get help. Going through a troubled marriage, separation with his children, even after loving them, is another side of the story.

PTSD and Depression

It is unclear what caused post-traumatic stress disorder during the initial phase of the story. Some soldiers he knew got killed in action. Viewers are anticipating this unfortunate incident as the probable cause.

The show has a fabulous story, and the actors have performed brilliantly. We hope that the makers of Netflix Bodyguard come up with the new season soon, as the fans are curiously waiting for it.

Watch Kingdom, If you like watching kings, queens, bloodshed, and zombies. The ratings of 8.4/10 on IMDb and 96% on Rotten Tomatoes bring the show to one of the top-rated shows of Netflix. IMDb puts it under the genre of action, drama, horror, and thriller. Rotten Tomatoes puts it only under the horror genre.

It is rated 18+, as it depicts extreme violence and thus becomes too gory. It takes you back in time along with zombies; makes you feel, you are watching The Walking Dead (TWD) of that era.

A webcomic series by the name of The Kingdom of the Gods has been adapted by the series. Kim Eun-hee is the author and Yang Kyung-il is the cartoonist of the webcomic series.

The story revolves around a Korean kingdom, where the dead have started to rise and are carrying out the massacre. Its citizens are aware of their King’s deteriorating health but, there are also rumors about his death. The crown prince is a fugitive, accused of plotting conspiracy against the King but is the only hope for his people.

Kingdom Netflix

The crown prince along with his high-ranking military bodyguard and some survivors, fight the undead. Unlike walkers (zombies) in TWD, the undead here can run and thus are extremely fast. He must not only fight the zombies but also the vile and vicious queen who has taken over his throne.

The series gives viewers goosebumps, as the scariness, suspense and thrill get too intense at times.

Kingdom: Ashin of the North

Kingdom: Ashin of the North flashes back at the story of Ashin, the events that took place before the beginning of the apocalypse.

So, if you plan to watch the show, don’t forget to grab your favorite snack.
